TOO MUCH RESYNC AND +1/-1 HACK ISSUE.[/B] YESTERDAY I HAD TWO RESYNC: WED OCT 12 19:15:14 GMT+02:00 2011: ALBUMS: 2816/2817 ARTISTS: 1058/1059 GENRES: 270/270 SONGS: 35103/35118 WED OCT 12 22:31:20 GMT+02:00 2011: ALBUMS: 2817/2818 ARTISTS: 1059/1060 GENRES: 270/270 SONGS: 35118/35136 TRYING TO EXPLAIN THE INCREASING COUNTERS FROM MY PREVIOUS TEST I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY I ADDED A NEW ALBUM THAT WAS PROBABLY NOT IMMEDIATELY DETECTED BY SBS BUT JUST YESTERDAY. MOREOVER, IN THE SBS ADVANCED SETTINGS I DISABLED THE AUTOMATIC SYNC FOR NEW ALBUMS (SORRY I'M NOT AT HOME RIGHT NOW AND I DON'T REMEMBER THE EXACT SETTING NAME): SO MAYBE THAT NEW ALBUMS INSERT IN SBS DATABASE IS TRIGGERED WHILE BROWSING BY FOLDER WITH SQUEEZECOMMANDER? JUST A CLARIFICATION: YOUR +1/-1 HACK DOES IT APPLY TO EACH SINGLE COUNTER? IN OTHER WORDS: YOUR HACK SHOULD NOT ALLOW RESCAN BECAUSE ALBUM COUNTER DIFFERENCE IS JUST 1 BUT SINCE SONGS COUNTER DIFFERENCE IS MORE THAN 1 YOU ARE ALLOWING THE RESCAN, AM I RIGHT? ANYWAY I HOPE THAT NEW SBS SERVER WILL IMPROVE RESYNC BEHAVIOR TOO, I THINK I WILL UPGRADE IN THE WEEKEND. [B]STUCK ON \"LOADING\" UNTIL A RESCAN IS FORCED ISSUE. My plan yesterday was to capture a logfile after waiting 60 seconds without a successful page load, as you requested. And it was the first time in a while that I not experienced this issue (damn!) but browsing many previously unexplored folders it seems to have triggered the second resync I told before NEW ICON SUGGESTION My design skills are not the best too so I cannot contribute directly. I just recommend you to stick to the Android icons guidelines: http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/ui_guidelines/icon_design.html Have a look at the chapter about Launcher icons and status bar icons. For example the logitech official app it's nice: the note symbol is plain and simple and not glossy while the two radio waves suggests something more that just a note could do. But in my opinion they made a wrong choice to put it in a rounded-cornered box: it's iphone style not android style but I understand that they did it because of consistency between they app on various smartphones platforms (and iphone "wins", as usual). I can suggest you to start something very simple as the iconic representation of the SB player, as you are doing already in your app (https://g0.gstatic.com/android/market/de.cedata.android.squeezecommander/ss-480-3-5), I like the one of my SB classic with the dot in the lower part.
