The volume buttons only work for SqueezePads own player (i.e. music streaming directly to iPad). I don't intend to change that, as with iOS there is no reliable way to catch volume events when you are not playing music (or you are in the background). One also gets into trouble with the playback feature: imagine the situation when you are using SqueezePads inbuilt player, but in the menu have selected to remote control another player. Should I now change the volume of the remote SqueezeBox? Or the iPad? And when I pause the iPad stream the behaviour changes? As a result SqueezePad would get a feature which is not intuitive and confuses users as they cannot understand when it will work how they expect it and when not.
