Maybe I'm not understanding your question but that is exactly what a SqueezeBox Touch is, a headless music player which can be controlled from an iPhone or Android. Or it can be controlled by: - it's IR remote - it's own touch screen - web UI (SBS/LMS or MySB.com) - a software player like SoftSqueeze or SqueezePlay - another SB player (Touch or Radio) - SB Controller (may as well use a smart phone)
