yep if economics of scale should come in to it , logitech is probably wise to offer just two variants one with speakers one without , with a lot of features so it would fit the needs of many users.
Remote controll hardware is no longer necessary as all kinds of apps are avaible. I don't think getting into 5-6 different models again is any good, it complicates the whole operation support development logistics everything, this costs is going somewhere.
