Hehe - I heard that when you enter the settings screen and leave it again, at least the fonts in the top left corner are rendered in high resolution. Normally the fonts do scale automatically - that is - if you don't use some animation tricks I used which needs to be told to use twice the resolution. An update was sent to Apple on Saturday 2am for the fonts. Everything else will be done when my iPad arrived (expected date: today). But I'm still at home and don't know if my wife was able to catch the postman.
