In the entry level sessions about optimization they always tell you you could use shouldRasterize only to later tell you in the expert sessions that often it's not a good idea  Last year they had almost no expert sessions, though (because they also crammed a lot of Mac stuff into the event).
But seriously: I didn't think about that flip page animation....that it would have such an impact. I mean: shouldRasterize is REALLY bad, it has so many side effects, worth the effort to optimize animations without it. In the end, not even shadows work well with it (which was the original reason for me to get rid of it again in most cases) although they gain a lot of performance. -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote and *New: iPeng for iPad*, at penguinlovesmusic.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80553 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
