We had a similar situation. I hung oriental rugs on the side walls and behind the speakers; got heavier drapes for the windows; and installed these in corners where walls meet the ceiling....

Moving them just a foot or two can made a very audible difference. In your case, hanging some fabric covered acoustic panels on the sloped part of the ceiling behind the speakers might help also.
