Logitech still USES all the technology behind it in the UE Smart Radio, so all they could sell is the name. And they didn't even want to sell when they had decided to close down the product line. You can't expect all the 3rd-party interfaces to be open source. As of my experience, all of these require proprietary interfaces to 3rd party APIs (after all, that's what they are about) so you can't open-source them.
