That's too bad. You can try the xilink reset. If I remember correctly
(which is not at all guaranteed), you should unplug the SB, then plug it
in while holding down the + key on the remote (and pointing the remote
at the SB2).

Is this a wifi SB2 or a wired-only model? If it is wifi, then it could
be that the wifi card has died or come loose from its socket. That's one
of the more common afflictions among SB2s and SB3s. You could try
opening it up and removing and/or re-seating the wifi card.

Finally, if none of these efforts succeed and you have other SB2s,
seriously consider putting the dead one into storage and using it for
parts if necessary.  Good luck.
