Android connected to a USB dac. That sounds clever. Then you get higher quality (or even digital out) quality to amp/DAC of choice.
The option I was planning to upgrade to for the car is to put a bluetooth receiver in the car (which has lineout) and then I don't have to wire up the phone. This should be possible in the home also.
