I asked before why this thing needs to be 3" wide. I don't see many advantages to making this a micro-sized component. We _were_ talking about having two USB ports, weren't we? Don't forget, you also need a rear connector for an external antenna, although it may not be on the board itself. Ideally, I think it would be in the center of the case. Channel Islands Audio uses slide-in extruded aluminum cases for many of their components. With most of them, they're so light that they need to add a steel plate to the base, just to give the component some weight for anchoring attached cables, particularly heavier interconnects. I think this will probably be necessary for this component. Stacked RCA jacks need to be attached to the backplate with an anchoring screw, or they will flex too much when attaching cables. You'll see this on most CI components.
