I've been following this thread - I'm a non-geeky non-audiophile Touch user. I agree with Erland that you need to decide who the core market would be for this device. I guess most users want something which looks good,. works easily out-of-the-box, and sounds good. I think there should also be a feature which allows for remote speaker use (wifi, bt or airplay).
