John, I've been pondering on this. I don't know what the US pricing looks like, ($20 difference according to the WandBoard website), but over here the dual is 16 EURO more than the solo. So, 16 EURO more for 2nd processor core, additional 512MB RAM, bluetooth, wifi.... There seems to be little point buying anything other than the dual. Earlier, I was going to buy a solo, but it now seems to be very poor value for money compared to the dual. My thinking is that this isn't really a bargain basement project where absolutely every penny needs to count. So I wonder if we should just say the dual is our base model and ignore the fact that the solo exists? From a support (and ease of use) point of view, having an on board integrated wi-fi solution seems to be preferable when it comes to having it working out of the box, rather than individual users choosing their own USB wi-fi dongles which may or may not have working Linux drivers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97881 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
