Have you seen my posts earlier in the thread on wifi? I found a nice little module that connects via ethernet to the processor, it just looks like another device on the lan. It has its own web server for configuration and can either be a client on an existing network, or it can be its own AP/DHCP server. (it even has a simple router) With this you don't have to have a driver on the processor AT ALL, no WPA suplicant etc., all that is taken care of in the module. It has its own switch on board and can be used as a bridge for other devices. With this functionality you can have a wired connection to a server, and it can be its own little network for handling iPeng etc, no need to even have your own existing wifi network. I was planning on having a socket for this module on the Gen1 and up board, because it is just like having an external bridge on the lan there is no need to have it on the Gen0.5 John S. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JohnSwenson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5974 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97881 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
