Castalla... do you run Squeezeplay "maximized" ? I realised that if we set the launch option in windows to make the software run "maximized", that it will not be "re-sized" at its full size but only occupy it without resizing so most of the screen isn't being used. Its rather ugly. Might be what you are experiencing, seems somewhat similar to what you describe. For me, I had to run it "at the appropriate size" from the get go- which implied to specify the proper sizes in FullscreenSkinApplet.lua; plus having an application to "auto-maximize" the window for SqueezePlay. I have added it in the startup folder, so it now launch maximized when the computer is booted.
Resizing it on the go seems to somewhat works too.
