Here i a quick update on the project: I have a SWAMP05 board partially up and running. The processor boots up and I can SSH in over Ethernet and run programms etc. Unfortunately all the other peripherals are turned off. There is something in the boot code that is not setting them up correctly. We are trying to find out why it does this on my carrier but not the wand carrier. Please don't ask for a picture, the soldering job was not great, I don't want people to see that!
These sorts of software issues are exactly why I did the quick and dirty 0.5 version so we can get these things ironed out first. I'm getting the parts in today for a test board for the new DAC chip, so in a couple days I should be able to hear if this DAC chip really does sound as good as I expected.
