So here is my prefered setup: * A NAS with Squeezebox Server installed * An iPod touch with iPeng * An Airplay compatible receiver (which connect to speakers). In my case Marantz NR-1603
Big advantages: 1) you spare two devices: a) Squeezebox receiver or Touch + b) The receiver remote control (no need to select the source on the amplifier wit that solution) 2) That is extremely convenient to use. With the iPod you select and play the music with iPeng (used as player) and it is sent to the receiver with Airplay. The receiver in stand-by will automatically turn on and output the sound to the living room speakers.
