..and if you already have Id3v ( actually an mp3 tag format ) in you flac files you should also perform the action to remove mp3 tags ? Or similar , I'm afraid I'm not out to what's the latest in mp3tag .
So that you end up with flac files with only flac tags , that's simpler . On Linux you can use puddletag it's IMO actually even better than mp3 tag . Actually I have some old stuff with both flac and id3v it works fine ,for now it was done when I knew less .
