The current Squeezebox system with LMS for local music is not bad, it's is and will continue to be very good as long as you fulfill the above criterias. w3wilkes wrote: > > I do find it curious that ickstream has chosen to support some SB > devices directly with a future possibility of maybe doing some "proxy" > method through SB server to support other SB devices. The proxy solution also introduce some extra technical complexity which results in that it requires more work to implement since it doesn't fit perfectly with how ickStream is supposed to work. If there are some third party developers interested to use ickStream together with older devices, they will probably implement support for the older devices even if we wouldn't be able to prioritize it ourselves, this is what an open system is all about. However, we are hearing what people say and will take it under consideration, but we can't promise anything at the moment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98467 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
