OK ill gues that ce and ul marking etc is easier with an external supply ?
Could not the psu sesnsitivity has the same origins as some of the squeezeboxes ,ie it's not from the player itself but the switcher or cheesy linear psu could interact with the rest of the hifi . In fact John did you not design a linear psu that twarted some of these effects :) if you revive this design you could have an optional psu ?
