If you've read this (and it's true) then you may also have read a Beagelbone Black can have the CPU welly to run SOX resampling at less than 100% CPU usage depending what you ask of it. Look for a thread on PFM started by "bemused". I think your questions re: the Wandboard may attract more attention if posted in other sections of the forum.
