I tried to install 7.7.3, but it says it requires 10.5. Will 10.4.11 support be coming?
No. 10.4 support is dead. You can stick with 7.7.2 and disable the update mechanism if you want to continue to use 10.4. The biggest changes in 7.7.3 were actually adding support for 10.9 (which caused removal of 10.4 compatibility as a side-effect).
