Hi MintyTrevor, when on batteries, SqueezePlayer shuts itself off after 15mins. It needs to maintain a network connection all the time which drains the batteries pretty much. Does it really save power, by not having the devices powered all the time? I thought they only drain what they need anyways?
As you say you are using Tasker there is an easy fix. Here are some instructions (second chapter) of how Tasker needs to be setup to start SqueezePlayers service: http://www.squeezeplayer.com/2013/05/start-squeezeplayer-on-startup/ You can just send this intent every 10 minutes to SqueezePlayer via Tasker, this will reset the shutdown counter. Actually it's what OrangeSqueeze does to keep SqueezePlayer alive, while OrangeSqueeze is in the foreground.
