Bob, In a real world environment, rather than on paper, I seriously doubt it makes much difference. If you're using the USB drive as a music storage drive to plug into the Wandboard, plug it into your PC to copy the music files to it. As long as the Wandboard can get the data off it fast enough when reading the music files, doesn't matter whether is is USB1 or USB6. The Wandboard is a low powered, relatively low performance device, built to a price point, which means it hasn't got SATAIII and USB3 ports.
