Room measurement with REW takes a while to get the hang of and a
lifetime to master. However, the lifetime part really is all about DRC
being complicated in itself. I haven't actually used AudioLense or
Accourate, but I'm always suspicious of black box solutions, especially
when it comes to the darker arts. That's why I chose REW over the
others. I can really recommend it. Getting a decent result is actually
not _that_ hard nor time-consuming.
If you'd want to get started, you'd always need a calibrated microphone
and a suitable soundcard. Can't avoid that. It doesn't have to cost more
than say 250 in total, including a few cables (Nordost is not
required). The benefit DRC gives is worth much more, at least when room
treatments are no-nos.
If you're not into this, perhaps the Anti-Mode is something to consider?
