There have been several people who have mentioned they would be willing to help with designing a back panel for CSP1. I'm ready for that now (I should have done it a several months ago!).
I will build a couple of PC boards that are "back panel mock-ups" they just contain all the connectors on the back. The board will be full width but only a couple inches deep. I would like to send one of these to someone who can measure the connectors and come up with a CAD file for the openings needed for these connectors on the back panel. If you have the contacts to find a good manufacturing process and manufacturer for the back panel that would be great as well. This person will probably have to buy one of the cases we are going to be using to get the size and location of the board relative to the back panel. It is probably going to be. Designing good looking lettering for the back will also be a big help. Basically I want to hand over the task of designing and getting ready for manufacturing of the back panel to someone else. It will probably come out much better than if I do it! Please respond if you are interested in doing this. If one person wants to do the cad file design and someone else wants to do the manufacturing method and manufacturer selection, that is fine as well. I should have the boards done in about two and a half weeks.
