Hi W3W, I think my upstairs/downstairs issues with EoP are definitely related to this. I don't know that they are completely separate, because the adapters do seem to work in some locations - though not necessarily reliably. It makes me think the connection could be there, but subject to interference or interruption. If I plug an adapter in downstairs either I don't get a 'good connection' light at all, or it takes a very long time to come through.
However I'm not sure how changing the trip switch would help? Maybe ours are different to yours? Obviously each ring main is fixed where it comes into the panel, and moving or swapping the trip switches won't bring them any closer? That said, while I've done some house wiring, I'm no 'sparky' and it's entirely possible I haven't understood? Ta.
