SqueezeRemote is a Windows 8 app useful for controlling Squeezeboxen from Windows phones and tablets. I use it on my Surface 2.
One of the features is that when browsing album names you can pinch on a touchscreen and the individual alphabetized listings transform into a categories list (numbers first, then the alphabet). Makes navigating across all titles possible, which with a large collection is otherwise very awkward. Nice implementation of touch screen potential. I recall that this also used to work with artists. It doesn't now. I wonder if the app hasn't been adjusted to accommodate the new structures in 7.8, Album Artist and All Artists?
