Its a feature of squeezelite. And strange isnt the right word.
With this feature the communication between lms and the player is
straight otherwise the hardware (in this case rpi) has to theck every
packet " is it for me or the player"

If you got any time learn the iso/osi modell after that we can discuss
the meaning of strange.
