That might apply for running LMS and Squeezelite on the same hardware but that is not the use case of the orginal poster. He has multiple RPI's with Squeezeplug but only runs the Squeezelite part of and these need to connect to LMS on a PC. When all those squeezelite''s connect with the same MAC to LMS it get's confused.
