Hi first check if a copy job from one to another computer/nas is also slowed down when the TV is plugged in. This is a check i "just" your internet is slowing down or your whole network.
Also check the IP settings, is a reference to a dns server in the TV ip settings? IS this DNS Server reachable? If not the TV would use broadcast to reslove names - that slows your Network down.
