After that it just goes on to handle all the changed files it sees. There are no changed files! This is the second time this has happened since the crash.
There has been a long standing issue with daylight savings: in case you were living in EU, you switched off daylight savings. Therefore LMS thinks all the file had changed, because all the time stamps are one hour off. I think I've fixed this in 7.9 (maybe even back-ported to 7.7.6 - don't remember :-)). The long scan time therefore might actually have nothing to do with your crash.
