hmmm. not sure about how to change the .db file back to some default.  
I think the suggestion of an SQL program above is the best approach as I
assume that is the type of program to open a .db file.   Even if you
don't change it, it shouldn't cause any problems, as you don't typically
edit a db file anyhow.
