If they are Flac files you can have more than one genre tag , you don't need a separator .
For file formats that have multiple tags I recommend that , all music software does not support a separator and it migth not always be the same one ,but in case of MP3 files you have to use separator and ";" is the most common ones . Btw LMS lets you define your own separator character .
