Maybe you could deposit the extra drive at your workplace? Don't know how syncing with the Amazon Cloud Drive works, but if it is always available like an internal drive then it is no replacement for a backup, cause then it could be too easily destroyed by accident or malware. Better to connect your backup drive for backup only.
