This time I see a 'delay' of 1:26 min for a clear&rescan.

I watched a performance graph of the scanner and there was no CPU, few
IO and a bit of memory allocation activity in this 'delay' phase.

I also have three older scanner logs for clear&rescan: two from v7.8.0
which show a 'delay' of 10-12 minutes and one a few weeks ago with an
earlier v7.9.0 (1482423225, Thu Dec 22) which shows 7 seconds, i.e. no
'delay'.
A following clear&rescan with my current system also shows no delay at
all. Is there some OS activity involved which is not necessary if stuff
is already loaded?
