I took the plunge and went for the trial.
(I've also mailed Qobuz support and asked them what the limits are)

I've had the fun of having two Chrome tabs for the LMS UI up, one
browsing Tidal and one Qobuz. Making the system play the same song from
each service. I can see from UI that the data rates from Q are much
higher, as to be expected. I also understand that the Touch cannot
handle the MQA option so was expecting Q to win out, but this is my
first ever shootout of these services.

I'll admit I couldn't really tell the difference. E.g between the CD
quality Random Access Memories on T vs the 24bit version from Q. It
might well be the limit of my ears or the setup and positioning of my
system. It all just sounds awesome to me no matter what I play.
I think I would need someone who really knows hifi in my house to
confirm this setup, however life is a little too short.

Touch - Anthem MRX500 - Monitor Audio Silver and Monolith

Ironically most of my listening is in the car and the family prefers the
ceiling speakers of our kitchen, because that's the room we're in most
of the time.

Next step - phone and headphones. I have an MQA enabled usb-c adaptor
for the phone. Maybe I won't be able to tell the difference on that
either.
