Very good remark/question! I usually think like you. In fact, it is that I plan to install in the houses of my parents and my brother (who live quite far from my home) an equivalent solution. Today they have nothing. The natural solution would therefore be to buy a Raspberry Pi 4 if there was not this potential temperature problem. And as, I will have to "install/configure/debug" their devices, I prefer that my whole family has an identical installation, which means updating my own Raspberry Pi. But all this is not very important and there is no hurry. I can wait several months before equipping (or not) my family. And my personal Raspberry Pi 3B + suits me very well! I just opened this thread to benefit from feedback from forum members. (And I got very concrete feedback.
