Thanks for all suggestions. The sense I'm getting so far is that an LMS
system should work for them in the long run. But we aren't there yet.
They really have no hardware for playing music at present, and right now
the budget doesn't allow for even a basic Sonos system. I'll probably
lend them a spare bluetooth speaker and an old phone so they can get
started and experiment with streaming services. (They do not want music
playing at home to be tied to the phones they use.) My hope is that by
the time they have dealt with the home maintenance issues that are
currently straining the budget, they will have some experience with
contemporary ways of listening to music. Then they should be in a much
better position to decide what they want to invest in.
