It depends what it's capable of. Minimum requirement is that it's just a nice front end for what plays on either my SLIMP3 or SqueezeBox. Best case scenario would be that it's a great Squeezebox on it's own, and can also be a frontend Kodi box for my houshold Jellyfin/Kodi system. I'm guessing that the best case scenario is too much to expect from such an old device. I can't imagine it being able to play 1080p content, and I'm pretty sure that my server won't be powerful enough to retranscode on the fly. Keeping it simple, and just using it as a Squeezebox contoller, will probably cause me less headaches. I'm fairly geeky, but I'm not a Linux ninja.
