They only went on to do SACD for marketing reasons, not technical. If people will buy bottled leprechaun pee then some entrepreneur will bottle it because there are buyers for it. I never understood the fascination with vinyl over CD. Dont people hear the surface noise of the needle in the groove? The noise floor is abysmally high with vinyl. But the golden ears accept that as non-disturbing.
