A lot of companies with Alexa support do it as a ‘tick the box’ effort
which is a shame. My LG OLED from 2018 is too old for Alexa from LG
itself but I have my own skill for it. I can ask to select a channel by
name, e.g ‘Alexa, set the TV to CNN’ while the official skill for newer
sets can only do channel selection by number which is not the reason
humanity invented voice control. 

For LMS, ‘Alexa, ask MediaServer to play the album Abacab by Genesis’ is
not that difficult to remember and just works. Not that different from
‘Dearest, tell the milkman we need some clotted cream today’ ...
