This is adhoc observation without any testing. I use DBpoweramp with secure rip setting. I have noticed on relatively new CDs, the rip speed is fast, but it can be, but not always, slower on older CDs without any scratches. On these older CDs, I almost always get a secure rip. (When I have not gotten a secure rip, it is one track and I notice the CD has scratches.) I thought it might be degradation of the CD over time. I have not had d6jg's experience with the entire CD going bad.
However, it is well known the writable CDs are not archive quality and will degrade over time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ P Nelson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58158 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114485 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
