My setup is much simpler and not directly relevant, but may offer some ideas for you.
I have 3 x NUCs running Daphile, a LMS clone, located in the office, music room and bedroom. The main router is an Asus AX88 and the Mesh node is an AX56. The firmware in both is v.386.3_2 asuswrt-merlin release (https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net). I use a LAN backhaul. The NUCs are wired to the main router (music room and office) and mesh node (BR). The Mesh wifi works flawlessly for the computers, tablets and cell phone in the various rooms.
