Yes,

Connect to windows and see how permissions are listed.   My guess the
non-working files are going to tagged with "admin" or something like
that.   Look at the permissions of the working file, and then apply
those permissions to the whole disk.


If you want to move the drive back and forth regularly, then you will
want to look at creating a usermap.   The command is ntfs-3g.usermap
