Ahh - a better bit of Googling tells me there is (or maybe....) a <Disable IR Reception> option via the Patch Installer (or via SSH, though that's beyond my pay grade.....). I may need to use that (putting a note on a bit of tape on the back of the Radio that I've done so!!!!!).
BTW, thinking of a physical option, where is the IR eye on the Radio - I'm damned if I can find it.....
