My earlier post had some incorrect information which I corrected.

This statement is wrong: "The devices connected to each router cannot
ping each other, the firewall on each router will block the ping."

My configuration: Fiber internet -> Router A (DHCP server) -> Router B
(DHCP server).

>From a device on router B, I can ping stuff on router A. However, pings
from router A to stuff on router B is blocked by router B's firewall.
The insecure internet of things are connected to router A. 

However, in your diagram, the archer is the router with a DHCP server
and Fritzbox is in bridge/Access Point mode (DHCP is off).  However, on
the Fritzboc is a firewall still active that would block pings?   

Again, I am no expert on this network stuff.
