Have you upgraded squeezelite to the latest version? While I don't think that's very likely to solve your problems, it might be worthwhile to eliminate that possibility before proceeding. And it's probably easier than the next step. Do you, by any chance, still have any older gear around? I'm thinking of usb cables, DAC; everything in the signal path between your NUC and the amplifier. If possible, replace that entire path, temporarily, with other components. The ideal choice would be older gear that used to work without skipping, even though the quality might not be as good. That might help isolate the problem. LMS 8 nightly running on Raspberry Pi OS.
