So why stop there? If you know what you want, make a further selection
by Conductor and/or Ensemble? That would get the list down to
something manageable!

Agreed. My scheme would allow you to make selection by any of the
approved tags, in any order.

Unfortunately the official recommended tag list isn't available just at
the moment, but I have seen reference to a "TITLE" tag in this context,
could be "Symphony 9". Wedging it into the contributor table is, as
you say, ugly. The neatest way would be to add this into a table as a
separate column, but this is now a database redesign (and the owners of
the DB schema are understandably reluctant to shove new data in for
every possible requirement). Maybe this could be a separate
enhancement request for a later date. [Edit: whoops! Silly mistake -
"title" is of course the track title, we can't reuse that...]

Good! I think we're agreed on this point.

Or, if we are getting really fancy, SEVERAL Genre boxes in an AND or OR
configuration! EG "Romantic" and ("Concerto" or "Chamber"). But maybe
thats going a bit far... The current Advanced Search web page gives a
dropdown list populated with all the Genre values that have been found
in the database, thats a pretty good start.

Yes. See my notes on multiple genres. We'd need "genre" to be
included in the extended browsing functionality that we have been
debating.
