As I mentioned in my reply to Sean, my server is not a Mac, so QuickTime is not available to do the transcoding. The server is a low-powered LinkStation with limited CPU and RAM resources. While a fully lossless format (ALAC) that is natively supported by both iTunes and Squeezebox would be ideal, I would be happy with high bit-rate AAC if it were natively supported in firmware. The Roku SoundBridge does this, so it is clearly possible. -- samlw ------------------------------------------------------------------------ samlw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2818 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19155 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
